Casting Crane

Casting crane is the main lifting and transportation equipment in the smelting workshop of steel plant, used for the transfer, pouring and mixing of liquid metal in the smelting process. Below 125t casting crane is generally a YZ double-beam structure. Above 125t casting crane is generally a YZS four-beam structure. 

The YZS type casting bridge crane adopts a main and auxiliary double trolley, four-beam and four-track structure, mainly composed of a bridge, a main trolley, an auxiliary trolley, a hook beam, a trolley operation and an electrical part. The main trolley runs on the main beam track outside the bridge, and the auxiliary trolley runs on the auxiliary beam track inside the bridge. The main trolley's picking device is a hook beam with a fixed spacing, which is used to lift the molten steel ladle. The auxiliary trolley runs under the main trolley. The picking device is a hook, which is used to cooperate with the main hook to dump molten steel, steel slag and other auxiliary lifting operations.

The YZ type casting bridge crane adopts a double-beam single trolley structure, mainly composed of a bridge, a trolley, a hook beam, a trolley operation and an electrical part. The main hook picking device is a hook beam with a fixed spacing, which is used to lift the molten steel ladle. The auxiliary hook is used to cooperate with the main hook to dump molten steel, steel slag and other auxiliary lifting operations.

The trolley operation mechanism and main electrical equipment are installed in the main beam, and a cold air blower is installed in the main beam electrical room. In order to reduce the heat radiation of molten steel to metal structural parts, a heat insulation board is installed at the bottom of the main beam along the span direction. The trolley running mechanism adopts a four-corner drive form.

The casting crane is equipped with a special electronic scale, and there are obvious display devices in the driver's cab and on the bridge.

Casting crane is an important equipment in steelmaking process. It is used to lift molten steel or molten iron in steelmaking workshop. It usually works in harsh environment with high temperature and dust. Casting crane has various important characteristics. Only when it is used normally can the safety of the whole machine be guaranteed.

Casting crane characteristics

1. High reliability. This casting crane is specially used to lift molten steel and hot molten iron. Therefore, it is very important to ensure its safety when using it. If it accidentally rolls over, the consequences are unimaginable. Therefore, several safety devices are set on its main hoist structure to ensure its absolute safety during use.

2. Stable operation. Because converter steelmaking requires continuous operation of casting crane, converter steelmaking efficiency is particularly high and the cycle is very short. Therefore, the requirements for cranes are also very strict. If the crane is not rigid and the quality is poor, the parts and electrical components of the machine will easily have problems. If the converter is shut down due to an accident in the machine, the loss caused by this is very large, so it is necessary to ensure the quality and ensure that the machine can operate safely and stably every day.

3. Convenient maintenance. The maintenance of casting cranes is relatively convenient. Once a problem occurs with the crane, it will affect the production of the entire steelmaking workshop. In order to minimize some adverse effects on production, convenient and fast maintenance is required.
