1. When lifting a heavy object for the first time in each shift (or when the load reaches the maximum weight), the heavy object should be lowered 0.5 meters above the ground, check the brake performance, and then proceed with normal operations after confirming that it is reliable.

2. When operating a gantry crane, the operator should sound the alarm for the following operations in accordance with regulations: lifting and lowering heavy objects; when driving a large or small vehicle; when the crane is passing by with unclear visibility, the operator should sound the alarm continuously. 

3. When the gantry crane is driving close to another crane in the span and is lifting heavy objects close to people.

4. Operations should be carried out in accordance with unified command signals.

• When there is a sudden power outage during work, all crane controller handles should be placed in the "zero" position, and the crane should be checked to see if it is operating normally before resuming work.

• During normal operation of large cranes and trolleys, it is strictly prohibited to apply the reverse brake to stop the crane; when changing the movement direction of the crane or trolley, the handle must be placed in the "zero" position to completely stop the mechanism before driving in reverse.

• For a crane with two hooks, when the main and auxiliary hooks are replaced and the heights of the two hooks are similar, the main and auxiliary hooks must operate separately to avoid collision between the two hooks.

• A gantry crane with two hooks is not allowed to lift two objects with two hooks at the same time; adjust the lifting mechanism brake when it is not working.

4. Operators of double-beam gantry cranes must be trained by the special equipment safety supervision and management department. They must pass the assessment and obtain operating qualifications before they can work with a certificate. They must be able to consciously abide by safe operating procedures and operating disciplines, and consciously assume the management responsibility for safe use.
