Container Gantry Crane
Introduction for container gantry crane
Rubber-tyred container gantry crane is a specialized container handling equipment, equipped with automatic container spreader, used for container stacking and container trailer loading and unloading operations in container yards.
It is a kind of equipment with high standardization, and it can be operated in transition. The energy can be electric energy or fuel oil. It has the characteristics of high loading and unloading efficiency, good flexibility and easy operation.
The tire-type gantry crane is a full-slewing crane with the lifting mechanism installed on the chassis composed of heavy-duty tires and axles. Its upper structure is basically the same as that of the crawler crane. In order to ensure the stability of the fuselage during installation, The crane has four telescopic outriggers. On flat ground, the outriggers can be used for lifting with small lifting capacity and driving at low speed. The upper part is the lifting operation part, which is equipped with boom, hoisting mechanism, luffing mechanism, counterweight and turntable, etc.; the lower part is the supporting and walking part. The connection between getting on and off the car is connected by a slewing bearing. When hoisting, it is generally necessary to lower the outriggers, increase the supporting surface, and level the fuselage to ensure the stability of the crane.
Introduction for the spreader
The spreader is a key component on a container crane. As we all know, when purchasing a container crane, it is necessary to choose the appropriate spreader to match it.
The quality and reliability of the spreader directly affect the performance of the crane. Therefore, when purchasing a crane, it has become the consensus of all users to choose a good spreader.
So far, the spreaders used in container cranes are basically the same as the products in the 1960s in terms of their principles. Since manufacturers have devoted themselves to equipping products with high technology for more than ten years, and actively promoted new technology in the manufacturing process, how to improve the performance of spreaders has also been put on the agenda.
Careful people may have noticed that spreader failures account for almost 60-70% of all container crane failures. This is not surprising, because, on the one hand, with the rapid development of science and technology, cranes have entered full digital drive In the era of adding PLC control, the electromechanical protection of each mechanism is more complete, which greatly reduces the failure of the crane itself. Only the spreader constantly collides and impacts with the container, and rubs against structures such as the compartment guide rails on the ship. Although the revolving pins and guide plates on the spreader are already working frequently and continuously, most operators would like to go even faster. Therefore, the spreader bears the brunt of the whole loading and unloading process, and the faults are more manifested. Undoubtedly, if the spreader can have fewer failures under such harsh working conditions, the overall reliability of the crane will be greatly improved.
Safety protection of the spreader
When the spreader is hoisted, it should never exceed the limit lifting capacity. Do not approach the spreader when working.
When the telescopic beam, telescopic oil motor, revolving pin and guide plate are operated, it is not allowed to approach the moving parts.
Do not connect and disconnect electrical connectors when the power is on.
Do not twist the pressure and flow adjustment device of the oil pump casually. Please refer to Chapter 5 for the correct adjustment method.
When the spreader is used, it is limited to its designed function. Maintain all electrical and hydraulic components.
Do not stand under the suspended spreader.
After each operation, check whether the structure of the spreader is damaged and whether the fasteners are loose. If so, it must be dealt with in a timely manner.
